...succeed, the saying goes, keep on trying. I guess that's what motivated Renee Bishop of Everett, Washington. Seems she wanted to off her old man, but didn't quite get the deed did. Her weapons of choice?

• Reciprocating Saw
• Heavy Mallet
• Hatchet

And, she expected things to get a tad messy:  "Responding officers said they found an unusual quantity of aluminum roasting pans, bleach and plastic bags in the home, as if someone was planning for a massive cleanup effort."

All of her planning and effort didn't get the desired results, but it did get her 18 years and 9 months in prison.
